Well, there is no more hiding from the fact, that fall is here and it has come with an explosion of colours. Fall is my favourite time of the year, with cool crisp air, bright blue skies and harvest time and celebrations. I have been so busy with so much, so when I finally had a half day to my own use, I drove down town Ottawa and ended up in the Experimental Farm grounds. I'm not sure how nice the name is for the place, but its very lovely place, right in between all city streets and buildings sits this amazing farm museum, gardens and fields. I walked around sketched and took some pictures...
Found this little piece of knitted art, so cute and I just love the pop colour. Made me think about who made this, did he or she sit here alone making this.
And there is ton of flowers in full bloom, these are just one of the many different kinds I saw.
I did do sketching, but I didnt have time to finish them so have to do teh rest here at home. But I thought I would post two pictures of what I sketched a few years back. Both are in water colour & ink 6" x 7"
