The Winner...

Okay, 25 of November and after everything else that had to get done around here {including our family tradition of waiting to last minute with hanging the lights up outside}...  We finally sat down and did this years Blog give away draw and boy was this a task and half, not because it was hard to set up.  But my dear secretary Charlie was not all cooperating and it ended up with me having to pay him double today to work {and he was very picky with what treats I was giving him}...

So after a handfull of treats and a few belly scratches later,  we finally got the show on the road and as you can see it started all nice and calm {dont be fooled by his cute eyes}.

But then the bowl went flying and paper pieces all over the place and Charlie was having a hay day with it all, hard to catch him with the camera as he was all over the place.  And then my son had to jump in and he sacrificed his fingers to get the one paper piece out of Charlies mouth  {thankfully no fingers got lost during this brave action, all there and counted for}...

And the winner is

Congratulations Linda B

{and this is what Linda wrote about one of her favourite memories of Christmas "My family always went to Christmas Eve Church service and while we were gone "Santa" came (we never figured that one out, even as adults our parents would never tell!) We had hot chocolate and presents and basked in the "family glow"."}
Please email me your address and Charlie and I will walk this to the post office and mail it to you.

I wish I had something for all of you, but a draw is a draw : )   However, I so enjoyed reading what you all shared about your favourite moments from Christmas and thank you for sharing that with me and everyone here. Congratulations again to you Linda B, I hope you enjoy them and the whole Christmas holiday. And I hope and wish all of you will have a wonderful Christmas holiday.

Christmas Blog Giveaway...

I have been having so much fun with the stamps I made and I made a new Christmas line for this year, I know its too late to book in to any art & craft shows for this year, but that's okay I still wanted to make them and why not share some with you.  After all that's what Christmas is all about and its not too late yet to mail some out...

I'm also doing this, because I have had a lot of fun with this blog and all the people that I have met through the years this way, both through my own blog and other great artists and crafters blogs {and so many other great bloggers, decorators, cooks and even a camel farmer}.  I have met people from all corners of the world, people that I would not have met if it had not been for the "blogger world".  I know I don't always answer back to every comment I get here, but I want you to know that I do read them {each and everyone} and I really do enjoy them all.

So to all my dear followers and visitors, this is what I have for you....

A chance to win 6 of my new hand printed & painted Christmas note cards, and all you have to do is place a comment and tell me what is one of your favourite moments of Christmas or the holidays that you celebrate {one of my favourite moments of Christmas {Jul} is when we light the first Advent candle...}

That's it, just a small comment and on the 25 of November I will pick a name and it will be mailed... or I should say my trusted secretary Charlie the dog will do the picking {he loves digging through paper for some reason}.  Good luck and thank you again to all of you for all your past wonderful emails, comments and for visiting my blog space : )

Happy November everyone!!!

Here is the draw...

Okay, so after a long day on my feet (and it was long for my feet, stuck in high heels for hours) in the gallery and enjoying the whole vernissage. At first it was quiet, but then it got busy and there was a good amount of people who came to see the work, chat and enjoy the food. I finally got home and knowing me, I wont be able to stay up much longer, so Charlie and I wrote down everyone who wrote to the Give-away post (all in the order they were posted). And I want to thank everyone of you, thank you for leaving your comments... I also wish to thank all of you who sent me emails, lots of great support, ideas and tips on how to get away from the arts rut.

And lets hope non of us have to go through an "artist block/rut" ever again. So as promised, here it is "the draw" and Charlie was more than happy to help out (he knew he would get a treat after : )

So all the numbers went in to a bowl, and right away Charlie wanted to dig in...

And he stuck his head right in, and started to take a bite, and after a lot of "Drop...Drop... Drop!... DROP!!!" He finally did drop a piece of paper

And it was # 3 Carole Moran, who wins the book I illustrated, congratulations Carole and yes, I will sign it (Dan told me too : )

Then next piece of paper, that I had to run and chase to get it from Charlie...

Goes to # 9 Anna Wolf, Grattis!! Anna lives in Sweden, and its funny she got this, as this series I have been doing is about my memories of Skargarden, Sweden.

And my third draw, and this I have to tell you came after a lot more of running around, catching him and trying to open his mouth... Ended up with me having to show him the treat to get him finally to spit the paper out... And after me getting breather, I open the paper and this (two hand printed and painted gift tags) goes to # 1 Dan Kent. Congratulations Dan

Congratulations everyone, you please send me your address by email, I will mail it to you as soon as I can.

This was fun, but now I'm tired and I will hit the hay early tonight. Thank you again to all of you, and thank you Charlie for giving me my weekly work out all in one evening (I guess it was good, after all I did pay a visit or two to the vernissage treat table today).

Happy spring to all of you, keep painting, drawing and creating

Cheers,

Mari
