Wishing all you both near and far a very Happy Thanks Giving and wonderful weekend. Over here we have been having fantastic (above normal) hot weather, today +27c, blue skies and totally gorgeous fall day. Yesterday was the same beautiful day, so the kids and I went out enjoying a nice long walk and then we went to the farm for apple and pumpkin picking. And while out, I tried out my new camera that Mr B gave me for my birthday
{thank you baby}. I'm having a lot of fun with it, but still have much to learn about it.
One of my first pictures I took with it, two "Painted Turtles" sunbathing on a log, however, one of them I'm not sure how he ended up like that, almost like he landed like that. But when I went to get closer after taking this, the one below went down in the water while the other one just kept moving his little feet but went nowhere, he was stuck!... Felt bad for the poor little guy, so I helped him down with a stick.
Here's my new camera, I picked out a simple and smaller style than what I had at first planned to get. I thought of getting a Nikon D5000, SLR, but ended up with this one instead, a Nikon Coolpix P500. Its a great little camera, small enough to fit in my bag, yet still full of all kinds of bells and whistles, and great zoom lens.
I'm happy!!!Alexander found a nice Thistle bush and brought me home a few flowers so I could sketch them, so sweet.
Lindsay on the other hand, set the table for our Thanks Giving dinner with leaves she picked and the pumpkins we bought. Great job Lindsay, cant wait to sit down and have a nice dinner with everyone.
Fall is my favourite time of the year, celebrating harvest time and best of all the wonderful blessings we have been given. We are all under the same roof, together.
