Happy New Year's & Gott Nytt Ar

I hope all of you had a great New Year's Eve and a great beginning to this new year.

Our New Year's Eve was really nice, we had some friends over again and it was wonderful bringing in the new year with all of them. And I can now post pictures of few things that I made for my friends as Christmas gifts (couldn't get it away before they open their gifts). This winter I re-found my love for sewing, that's to a few really wonderful blogs that I found and follow, one of them is Ruth Rae. She is a wonderful textile and mixed media artist, I find inspiration from her work and her blog.

Here is some of the gifts that I made, book marks and I used fabric scraps and pages from old math and novel books. And I made coasters again out of scrap fabrics and beautiful lace that I found in a local store. And for fun, I made with the same materials, covers for my tool containers and this one is "measure twice, cut once" great for my old antique rulers and my scissors. The containers are recycled food containers (hot chocolate powder).
