Yesterday and today, my son and I went out walking and taking pictures, he has started to really get in to photography and its fun to watch and see how much he enjoys it. Yesterday, we went back down to to board walk by the bog (right next to the city is this great path and the land around there is just like how it is further north from here, all tundra. I did post pictures from there last fall). So it was a cold (-15 in the wind) sunny blue skied day, and the landscape was absolutely stunning.
The bog is wonderful place to find great shadows on a bright winters day. At the end of the path is when you walk through a high growing tree line, compared to the bog where the trees are short and much smaller in size. By the big trees birds gather and they come and eat from your hand if you bring seeds, this time we only saw Chickadees and one downy woodpecker. And there was a lot of Chickadees, this little fellow was not too sure about us and he watched us a while before he finally came and eat a few seeds.
Yesterday & Today
Its great to see how different colours and light can be and what it does to you when you see it, above picture I found lots of energy, and today its very calm and peaceful.
And this picture is when we were heading back and the snow had started to come down really hard and thick. But if you look closely, you can see the red buds of the maple tree. I like the contrast of the little red specs against the grey and white.
Here two more shadow pictures from yesterday.
Enjoy and the images in this post you can use if you wish. And if you do, please share and link back here, I would love to see what you did with them... Maybe a sketch or a painting?
