Okay, I'm jumping back and forth here, first I ran out, then went for a great long walk {of course giggled and acted like a crazy person who had finally been let out for the first time to the free world}
Then, we got back and I cracked open my paint case.
I just felt so good from seeing all those colours, feeling the cool crisp air, hearing the wind blow in the tree tops and watching the leaves fall down to the ground like coloured sugar to a cake... And not to mention the lovely scents of autumn, dry leaves, moss and all that lovely stuff that makes the ground so rich and full {and no, I didn't crawl around in it, I do have some class you see... My Charlie on the hand is a different story, he was covered in sticks, mud and other things found under a tree}.
I painted a few small things, just having fun with the colours and thinking about the lovely forest paths we have around here. We really are truly lucky to have this so close to our home and neighbourhood. Then later on I noticed that I had stepped on an old rusty thumbtack, thankfully it was stuck to my slipper and not my foot. It had also some old very thin wire stuck to it.
So I drew and painted that too, why not!!! Only thing now is to try to figure out where I left it, hmmmm!!! So that was my day in a nut shell.
Happy autumn everyone {or spring, depending where you are}, get out there when ever you can, be it forest, beach, down town or your back yard... But get out there, breath and enjoy!!!
