So fall (autumn) is coming to its end, and we have had a mixture of early fall weather to mid November weather, we have had beautiful sunny and warm days and other days wet, cold and even frost. The weather man is calling for +21c tomorrow and then +5 the next day, so its a real roller coaster ride outside right now {not to mention the daily conundrum of what to wear}...
But, here it is and its still beautiful even though its only few trees here and there that still have some leaves left {the trees you see below have lost all those leaves since I took this picture last weekend}.
The pictures are from one of my favourite places to visit here in town, the bog board walk. Ottawa is lovely when it comes to nature trails, forests, fields and water, and there is a lot of wild life too. By this bog you can see moos, fox and beavers, we didn't see them this time but we saw lots of birds and they come right to your hand to feed. Here my son Alexanders hand is being inspected by a Nuthatch.
| And what do we have here... |
It has become a nice sinus infection *sniff*
Any hooo, what I did manage to create turned in to something totally different from what I had in mind. I wanted to paint different pears in a row, but with a great big sneeze I spilt paint and I had to paint over it and it became "one angry pear" And it kind of fits in with Halloween just being around the corner and besides I'm tired of paintings pumpkins, so why not an angry pear...
Then I painted this one with trees again, I liked the last one I did so I wanted to try some other ways to do it. Birch and Poplar trees have really lovely yellow tones to their leaves, not to forget the colours of the bark on these trees, love them!!
And last, a small paint sketch I did during one of my walks with my dog. So while he sniffed away, I tried to capture the colours on the other side of the field we were on. I just love all the browns and greys and with just hints of colour in the distance. Didn't get to finish it as it started to rain, maybe I'll fix it later or just do a new one.
Any how, so that's it again from my end. I hope all of you are enjoying autumns gifts and stay away from the cold bugs!!
