Well, this week has been interesting... We are having some work done in our house, and right now we have everything from our living room and kitchen in the dining room, and down stairs is no better and I just don't have any room any where to take a moment to read emails or to paint. And besides I don't have much time for it any ways, I have been busy with repairing walls, painting walls and cupboards, sorting and organizing {I really cant wait to get things back to normal again}. But along with all of this mess, I found a spot from where I can check emails and make phone calls... and due to some of the calls, I end up on hold and, well, I get my chance to sketch and doodle a bit.
Can you see my spot where I can sit?? Its there, behind the plants.
Little bit of doodles in my note book and not sure why I started to draw fish or anything that floats.
Another call and a long hold, even had time to get my water colours out.... Played a bit with the blue shadows that I remember from when there was snow. And this one below {not from me sitting on hold, but rather from a moment while I was waiting for plaster to dry} I drew the seed pods again and this time added water colours to it, not sure if I like it.
I wanted to thank all of you for your comments and emails to my last post, Lindsay had a good day after I had posted, but then all her head aches came back and she has been here at home with me. Watching me while I been doing stuff around the house, she's funny that way and not a typical autistic person {most people with autism, don't take too well to changes around them. But our Lindsay loves to move furniture around and decorate, I guess, not only did she take the visual art side from me, but she also took the love for rearranging things around and adding new colours to spaces}. She wanted me to paint the kitchen blue and was not too pleased when I told her that we are keeping the yellow.
She's so cute!
Thank you again for all your warm and kind words. And before I end this post, I just wanted to leave you with two pictures. First one is of a small book I found for only $ 2.00, and its about two French men who traveled on the train cross this big country (from East to West), one sketched and the other one wrote. Its a fun read. And the last picture is of a painting I made a few years back, not sure if I posted it before. And today it gave me some new ideas, and I think I might just use this as my next inspiration for the kitchen.
