I have been working away in my basement studio, and I tell you right now its hard to concentrate down there. Its not due to poor lighting or lack of space, but I think it has something to with the weather we have been having since it snowed last, its raining non stop, skies are poop grey and everything is so wet and muddy, even Charlie refuses to go out. I open the door for him, all he does it stretch his neck out as far as he can, sniffs and then lets out a big snort and walks back in to the living room...
I have been doing some painting on the side of all the printing, and this one I wanted to try from a sketch I did over a year ago. Its dandelions when they are in their seed stage, in the sketch they look like it but not so much here in acrylic, looks more like Daisies...
And these two pictures below are detail shots of two different paintings I'm working on, still have ways to go. I have been thinking a lot about Sweden these past days. I miss the fields, lakes and sea shores, you could say I miss blue skies. I rather have super cold and blue skies than what we have right now, hopefully it will snow soon.
One thing that I always do this time of the year, is starting to dream of all white on white decorating for our house, its my Scandinavian side of me that comes out and it always happens right around now. I need light, and lots of it. Now if I could just talk Mr B in to painting the floor boards, kitchen cupboards and furniture all white... Didn't work last year or all the years before then, but a girl can dream : ) Right!!!
