new EDM challenges & yes, more tulips
Okay, today was an interesting day, first a long walk with Charlie. Then rushing home (didn't realize how long we had been out for), quick shower and then drive to my Dr's appt (more allergy testing, talking about epi-pens, shoots and good old creams) and I had some of my joints checked out... And yes, its official, I'm falling apart.
Any hoo, falling apart or not. I did a few more EDM challenges, # 8 Jewelry & # 10 Hands. These are one of the few of my favourite jewelry pieces. The one on my left hand is antique and from my Great aunt and the one on top I got as a child in Finland. It was harder than I thought to draw my hands today, maybe because they are a bit stiff and I just had to get the right angle of my sketch book.
This EDM # 17 Musical Instrument, I just had to draw my sons bagpipes. He has been playing now for over year and half (he is with the Air cadets) and he is doing really well, making both me and the man very proud (okay we lost our hearing in the process, but we are proud). For Mother's Day he played my favourite song "Highland Cathedral"... He's such a good egg : )
Any hoo, after my Dr's appt, I went back down town to draw little bit more tulips. I just had to see them again, just love them so much. It was hard to find a good spot to sketch or paint, the place is packed with tourists... And like every year, I always get a handful of older men telling me "Oh why paint flowers when you can paint me" and they have a huge silly grins on their faces...
