I finally got my self a new computer and I'm finally able to down load pictures and just have fun "me time"... no more having the keys stick and kids breathing behind me waiting to take over. After the holidays, it took me a while to get back to swing of things (painting and drawing). What I mostly done is cleaning out my work space, getting paper work sorted out and work on my goal sheet for the year (so much that I want to do). However, while cleaning, I found my old writer box (well, its not that old really, about 17 years old). I painted it in a class I took with a friend, it turned out okay but I was never really happy with it. And now it has just collected dust, so either let it keep collecting dust, give it away or do something with it, so I cleaned it up and repainted the whole box in three different whites. The inside walls of it I pasted old music paper and varnished it. I didn't know what to do with it, until I saw my small watercolour painting I did during the holidays. I love greens and whites, and like most people, after the holidays its nice to clean up and start fresh. So my old new box is in the dining room on the sideboard, and in it I placed a plant in pot, candles, an old poetry book I just love and my painting. Looks like a small island of spring in the mids of dark and cold winter days.
