Yes, time to decorate again

Well, I'm sure my husband will say something, when he walks in and sees that I have already pulled out one of our Christmas trees and I'm sure he'll get a giggle out of it (or roll his eyes) when he sees what I have done with it. Due to my allergies, we cant have a real tree (oh, how I would love to have that), we have to use a fake tree. But this one here is in our kitchen, and its a small tree (my man calls it "Christmas bush")and its all falling apart and it has lost a few branches. But I hate to throw things out and fill up the dump, so I have tried to mend the old tree with brown paper and twine. It kind of looks rustic and it works fine with the white lights, old silver ornaments and the red apples. I still going to add the Scandinavian straw ornaments and the little star for the top. I made a mess, but had fun and the excitement for the holidays is growing... Now, if it only could snow, I would be pleased as pie.

Talk about pie, I made almond plum tart this weekend (we had friends over for dinner) and it turned out so good and it was gone within hours.
